1.Where is the camp located?
Our studio partnered up with the Washington Ethical Society (7750 16th NW. Washington, DC.) to host our summer camp. Our classrooms at WES are spacious and filled with natural light. Students will have access to outdoor playground, pianos, and performing stage.
2. What are the age ranges for campers?
Our camp is for children ages 6 - 8.
3. Do campers need prior experience in piano/violin?
We welcome children at all levels of piano and/or violin. Teachers will adjust lesson plans accordingly.
4. Who can enroll in the "Language & Music" Immersion Program?
Children with a minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in Mandarin will benefit the most from our immersion program.
5. How much Mandarin will be used in the immersion program?
All classes will be conducted in Mandarin in our immersion program. With that said, some activities such as recess, morning exercise, group activities etc. will be led by English speakers to accommodate all campers.
6. Who are the teachers?
Our teachers are professional musicians with a Master's or Doctorate degree in music performance. They have worked with students of all levels and ages. Each of our teachers must pass a background check in order to work at our summer camp.
7. Will lunch and snacks be provided?
We do not provide any food or snacks. Campers must pack their own lunch and snacks. Campers must also bring their own water bottle.
8. Do you offer transportation?
We do not offer transportation to campers.
